With continuous press coverage of every thing he does and says, it seems longer. The world has been privy to his much-publicized meltdown and virtual destruction of his career and personal life. Through all the turmoil, he has continually told the world that being fired was the best thing for him. Even though, he repeatedly says he is winning, is he really? It is a matter of opinion, and the answer varies depending on whom you ask.
We are taught early in life to be positive no matter what life brings. Charlie Sheen has stepped beyond positive into delusional. Amidst all the self-created mayhem he spews phrases about his adonis DNA, tiger blood, that he is bi-winning and his favorite, duh, winning. There is recent news here from aceshowbiz.com about "Two and a Half Men" moving forward next season with a new actor. Chuck Loree said he has an idea to reboot the sitcom and stated, "With a new creative direction that does not involve Sheen." The shows new direction will reportedly focus more on Jon Cryer as the main character with the support of a new unnamed actor to take Charlie Sheens place. With these new developments in the future of the series, many wonder does Charlie Sheen still believes he is winning.
No matter how he presents the success of his current situation about his tour "The Violent Torpedo of Truth," the truth is it has received a lot of mixed reception. After a month-long tour across the United States with twenty-two stops, it has ended. His rambling show fared well in some cities. In others, he was practically heckled and booed off the stage. He reportedly wants to revamp his show and take it international. Only time will tell whether this idea to expand his live tour ever comes to fruition.
Sheen seems to be trying to make the public believe being fired and losing about two million dollars per episode for "Two and a Half Men" is a good thing. In a recent article from msn.com, Sheen stated "Two and a Half Men" after "177, episodes it was getting a little stale." This is a huge turnaround from statements he recently made saying he wanted to be back on the show. Maybe when he realized that was never going to happen he thought he should try to put a positive spin on being fired.
His personal life has not fared extremely well either. After getting out of rehab, he seemed to be happy at home with his "Goddesses." This domestic bliss seemed in trouble when porn star Bree Olson, whose real name is Rachel Oberlin, left him, as reported by eonline.com. Charlie tweeted that she had left his Los Angeles home. She reportedly broke up with him via a text message. However, she returned to his home just hours later, sounds like she may be as unstable as Charlie. Since his sons were removed from Charlie's home in March by a judge's order, he is spending his first weekend with them. In an article from the blog babble.com, it says that Charlie is reportedly teaching his twin sons how to say rehab. Therefore, they will be able to say where their mother Brooke Mueller is right now. In response to this, Brooke is threatening to sue Charlie. Under the terms laid out in their divorce settlement, Charlie is not allowed to publicly bad mouth his ex-wife.
This is surely only the beginning of more bizarre news and behavior regarding Charlie Sheen. Since his firing from "Two and a Half Men," calling his behavior erratic is an understatement. Fans are eager to see if the CBS series does make it back for another season without Sheen. If it does, there will surely be many more public rants and threats of lawsuits from Charlie. It is almost impossible not to be caught up in all the drama. It is hard not to watch the press coverage of his life spiraling out of control. In show business, they say the only bad press is no press. Well Charlie does not have to worry about that happening. He is getting enough bad press the public will not forget about him and his troubles any time soon.
