Cheryl Cole won't return to 'The X Factor': Here's why

Yes, it's that time again! Since "The X Factor" Season 2 ended, a bunch of last year's presenters and judges have jumped ship, meaning the rumors about who will replace them have started up already. Cheryl Cole -- who was cruelly sacked from the judging panel in Season 1 -- is apparently in talks to make a return. Again. No matter how hard the producers try, it seems unlikely that Chezza will ever go back. Here are four reasons why.

    She has prior commitments

Cheryl Cole is way more than just a pretty face. Before the drama with "The X Factor" started, Cheryl was one-fifth of British girl band, Girls Aloud. The group has recently reformed and are going on tour later this year. After three years apart, Cheryl and her buddies are going to need as much rehearsal time as they can get, leaving little to no time for Cole to return to the U.S.

    She's 'over' Simon Cowell

The British beauty used to be the best of friends with Cowell, until he fired her. The fact that he ditched her was surely a huge blow to their friendship, and for a while, the pair didn't speak to each other at all. In an interview last year, the singer admitted she doesn't even think about the music mogul anymore, which might make a return to "The X Factor" quite difficult!

She's wanted for "The X Factor UK"

In the U.K., ratings for the singing contest have been flagging since Cole left. It would make more sense for her to help kick up the ratings in a place where she's better known than to have to start all over again in America. She was super popular as a mentor, and her acts won the show twice during her three-year stint.

    She wants to move forward

The simple fact is that Miss Cole has achieved a lot throughout her career because she has always continued to move forward. Reuniting with Girls Aloud might be considered a step backwards, but in reality, it's a goodbye tour. It will close another chapter of her life so she can go on to bigger and better things. Going back to "The X Factor," even though she didn't get to finish her first season, would only be a reminder of where she was supposed to be a couple of years ago.
