Chris Hemsworth and Wife Elsa Pataky Welcome a Baby Girl

Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, welcomed a baby girl on Friday, USA Today reports.

India Rose was born in London and is the couple's first child. "We love the country and love the name," Hemsworth said.

In January, Pataky told Hola! magazine that she plans on speaking to the baby in Spanish. "I already told my husband, 'Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you're not going to be able to understand what we say.'"

Hemsworth can currently be seen in The Avengers and will appear alongside Kristen Stewart in this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman.

The couple married in Australia over the 2010 Christmas holiday.
