After last year's "Pretty Little Liars" Halloween special, fans are super excited about the upcoming one-off Halloween episode on October 23. While last season's was set in the past, this year's is firmly set in the present, and it looks as though it's going to be explosive! We always know that when there's a party, there's going to be trouble -- but when you throw in the fact that this party is on a train, there is even more reason to be afraid! Let's take a look at some of the clues in the Halloween special promo.
"Guess who's not gonna make it to the end of the line"After finding the letter "A" written on the steamy train window, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) reads a message, posing the question of who may not get off the train alive. It could be any number of people -- though we can probably rule out all of the liars, because it's unlikely that any of them will be killed off. But perhaps we need to look at the partners of the girls: Toby (Keegan Allen), Ezra (Ian Harding), Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), and Paige (Lindsey Shaw). We can safely rule out Toby, because he is on the "A" team, and Ezra, too, as he probably won't even be there. But Caleb and Paige are definitely targets, so maybe they are the ones who are at the most risk.
Who is behind the Ali mask?In the most chilling part of the trailer, Hanna (Ashley Benson) uncovers someone wearing a mask of Ali's face. Pushing aside the fact that it is many levels of disturbing, we have to ask, who is behind it? We have seen that Mona (Janel Parrish) has managed to easily walk in and out of the mental institution without question, making her a definite possibility. We can't yet rule out Jenna (Tammin Sursok) or even Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) at this point, either. At a guess, Mona seems the most likely, especially since we know just how twisted she can be.
Who kidnapped Aria?Toward the end of the promo, we see Aria (Lucy Hale) tied up, her mouth covered with tape. This begs the question, who did it, and how did they manage to drag her away on a crowded train? The person behind the Ali mask is obviously the top suspect here, but keeping in mind that Toby can't be trusted, perhaps he had a hand in it, too. One thing for sure is that this incident certainly calls the "Aria is 'A' theory" into question!
