AMC has tapped CMT programming exec Eliot Goldberg as senior vice prez of unscripted programming. He will report to Joel Stillerman, the cabler’s exec veep of original programming, production and digital content.
Goldberg transitions to AMC after serving as CMT’s senior v.p. of original programming and development, handling the country channel’s reality series including “Bayou Billionaires.” Before his tenure at CMT, he oversaw development and original programming for TV Land, launching “Hot in Cleveland.”
At AMC, Goldberg is tasked with overseeing the network’s growing reality slate, which includes “Talking Dead,” “Comic Book Men,” “Freakshow” and upcoming series “Owner’s Manual.”
“Eliot is a talented executive with both network and production company experience and a proven ability to tell authentic stories and find characters that resonate with audiences,” said Stillerman. “I look forward to having him join the team at AMC, and help us continue to evolve our unscripted strategy.”
