On the Mar. 15 installment of "Cult" ("Get With the Program"), fans saw Jeff make contact with another person who had lost a loved one to the show-within-a-show. But can she be trusted?
"Cult," the show-within-a-showThis week on the show-within-the-show, Kelly reaches out to Professor Patrick, the man who deprogrammed her and freed her from Billy's toxic influence. She brings along the wife of the man who kidnapped her, hoping that the deprogramming expert can also deprogram the wife, and Kelly can learn where her sister is being held.
However, the cult members break in and kidnap both the deprogrammer and the wife, leaving Kelly all alone in the dark. Later, on Billy's compound, the professor has his hands nailed to a picnic table while Billy interrogates him.
Jeff makes a new acquaintanceWhile surfing some "Cult" fan sites, a woman reaches out to Jeff. She says that her husband has gone missing in exactly the same fashion as Jeff's own brother. Jeff arranges to meet with her in a public place. Skye tags along, and they are both met by an imposing man named Terrence.
After Terrence clears them, he gives the wife with a missing husband the "OK" to enter and speak with Jeff. Terrence is a freelance investigator and deprogrammer employed by Ama, the woman who contacted Jeff. When Jeff finds an unactivated black CD in a notebook that belonged to Ama's husband, they agree to work together and use the unactivated CD to trace the kidnappers.
A rotten detectiveWhen Skye, Jeff, Ama, and Terrence hit the streets, they are stopped by Detective Sakalik. She informs Jeff and Skye that Terrence has a record with violent assault charges. Forced between trusting Sakalik (a known "Cult" associate) and Terrence (who could be unstable), Jeff and Skye decide to trust Terrence…for now.
Later, after she watches an episode of "Cult" on her phone, Detective Sakalik gets a call. The person on the other end of the line tells her that Nate Sefton has been moved "to the new location."
Getting some answersJeff and the gang trace the location where the CD was burned: It's a "hacker hostel" in Inglewood. Terrence captures a hacker after shooting him with a rock salt gun, and the hacker seems to suggest that Ama's husband is buried on a location used to film "Cult."
At the site, they find evidence that Nate was being held in an old underground location. However, while Nate has been moved, Rami is still being held there. He's trying to solve some puzzle involving UV light, but everyone needs to run when a group of people in cars show up at the site.
Ama and her husband are reunited, but Jeff is still no closer to finding his brother. The next day, Skye returns to the underground site, only to find that it has been filled in with concrete.
