It seems like months since Kym and Hines amazed us with their dancing skills and took home the coveted trophy on "Dancing with the Stars." We all have been trying to figure out who will be dancing when September rolls around. Until we know for sure, we will just have to use our imaginations.
What would you like to see different on this upcoming season of " Dancing with the Stars "? I bet you have some thoughts, we would all love to hear them. I've been tossing some ideas around that I would implement if I was a producer. Let's start with the trophy. Everyone makes fun of it, including the hosts and judges. Perhaps they could still use the mirror ball trophy, but jazz it up a little. Make it seem more important. How do you do that? That's a good question, folks. I come up with the questions and I'm depending on you to come up with the answers.
Now let's move on to the judges. I am tired of Len Goodman sitting in the middle all the time. I would like to see the seating arrangement changed-up every week. Len wouldn't have to take the brunt of Bruno on a consistent basis. Poor Len is always ducking and weaving to avoid getting accidentally hit by the flailing arms of over-dramatic Bruno. I think with Carrie Ann and Bruno sitting next to each other, we might witness a little more calm in Bruno. Also, if he accidentally hits Carrie Ann, she would probably turn around and slug him!
What about the hosts? Let's see, we can't make Tom taller, so what can be done to improve his hosting abilities? This one might have to wait until the season starts. After all, without Maks around, things will be different. At times Tom is a little rough around the edges, but he takes the ribbing and lives through it.
Brooke is newly married, so we don't want to hurt her feelings by leaving her out. We'll let her slide for a few months and let the marriage vows totally sink in.
You all heard that Hines Ward had a little run-in with the law, and Cheryl Burke supposedly put on a few pounds. Maks and Mark have gone the way of Elvis -- they left the building. Things would get very dull if they stayed the same forever.
Mark Ballas hasn't been sitting back at home letting life pass by. No, not Mark. He's been out donating his time and his body to the elderly. As reported in sheknows, Mark was the star of the 4th Annual Avamar Foundation benefit in Warren, Ohio, representing The Beat of Ohio dance studio. Mark, always on the move, forgot to take a change of clothes with him so he borrowed a shirt from the event host. He autographed it and auctioned it off! He even offered up some front-row tickets to "Dancing with the Stars." When it was all said and done, Mark raised $12,500. What a guy!
Remember, the big announcement about the new season's casting is Aug. 29. At least then we will know something for sure -- or will we? Stay tuned.
