What's the best way to follow up your guilty pleasures on "Dancing With the Stars: All Stars"? How about a little bit of country!
Yee-haw! It's time to dust off your cowboy boots and get ready for Country Week, where the stars will throw down some hoedown. (Or something like that!)
And while Drew Lachey won't be on hand to reprise his famous "Save a Horse" freestyle (the former mirror ball champ was eliminated in week 3 of the all-stars competition), at least country stars Big & Rich are slated to grace the "DWTS" stage next week.
Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek at what to expect from our all-stars, as they bring some of the biggest country music songs to the ballroom.
Gilles Marini and Peta MurgatroydPerhaps next week French actor Gilles Marini will wear a towel and a cowboy hat? The hunky star may just knock judge Carrie Ann Inaba out of her seat again when he takes on a cha cha to a country song. He's also doing double duty. Gilles tweeted that after a day on the set of the ABC Family drama "Switched at Birth," he's gearing up with an eight-hour "DWTS" rehearsal with partner Peta Murgatroyd. This is one guy who definitely doesn't throw in the towel!
Kelly Monaco and Val ChmerkovskiyIn an interview with On the Red Carpet, "General Hospital" star Kelly Monaco got a tad defensive when asked if her work on the soap was affecting her performance on the dance floor. But she did admit that she's a little concerned about next week's country music theme. "It's probably the furthest away from my comfortable zone. It's not in my top 10 playlist, that's for sure," the soap star said of the genre. With a tango to Carrie Underwood song on tap, Monaco said, "Yeah, I'm a little worried."
Karina Smirnoff and Apolo OhnoKarina Smirnoff knows a thing or two about country music -- she was partnered with "Achy Breaky Heart" singer Billy Ray Cyrus back in Season 4. But her all-star partner, Apolo Ohno, isn't as confident. He tweeted, "Country week....I know nothing about country week/dance Heeelpppp!!!" Luckily for him he's paired up with Karina. The pro dancer told Yahoo TV that she loves country! For next week's country-infused Viennese Waltz, she and Apolo will pay tribute to family members they've lost, with a sentimental and romantic dance.
Kirstie Alley and Maks ChmerkovskiyOne all-star who will be in her comfort zone is Kirstie Alley. The actress tweeted, "Next week Rumba...my favorite... dreaming of being dreamy." Meanwhile, did her pro partner Maks Chmerkovskiy tweet a hint to their song? Maks recently retweeted a video link to Reba McIntyre's "I Want A Cowboy," which the country star performed on the show back in Season 10.
Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van AmstelWhen a Twitter follower asked pro dancer Louis Van Amstel if his country dance with Sabrina Bryan will be romantic, the pro dancer tweeted, "I'd say it's about love, trust, sharing, surrender! Romantic enough?" (It's also a rumba!)
Melissa Rycroft and Tony DovolaniShe's on the mend after suffering a herniated disc last week, but will Melissa Rycroft be able to conquer next week's country theme? Well, the reality star won't be two-steppin'! Instead, she and partner Tony Dovolani are taking it slow. After Tuesday's rehearsals she tweeted, "Not gonna lie, little sore this morning…Thankfully we have Viennese Waltz. Slowing it way down this week."
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl BurkeFrom the Copacabana to a country western bar? Either way, you don't mess with Texas! Next week, NFL star Emmitt Smith will be fox trotting with a twang. He told On the Red Carpet that his dance will be "Texas style." "It's bigger in Texas, it's bigger in the southeast, it's country," he said. Smith may even be more comfortable with next week's song than his pro partner Cheryl Burke is. She admits she isn't familiar with the song they're dancing to but says it will be fun.
Shawn Johnson and Derek HoughWe already know Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson is a little bit country -- she's been spotted on the red carpet at the CMT Awards -- but is her partner Derek Hough a little bit rock and roll? The pro dancer recently said he's into eclectic music like Australian blues duo Angus & Julia Stone and indie rock band Imagine Dragons. How will his eclectic musical taste translate into Country Week choreography? This is one you'll have to stay tuned for!
