New love
It seems there's been some serious chemistry going on between the "Smash" star and her co-star, Will Chase. During a recent interview when asked if the two were close, he said "I guess. I believe she (Debra) was always private, and I was off of the radar, so I was always private." Messing and her husband of ten years, Daniel Zelman, announced the end of their marriage in December 2011 while Chase and his wife, Stephanie Gibson, were also going through a divorce at the same time. Not long after the announcement, it was reported that the co-stars were dating and had been for about six weeks prior.
Opening night on Broadway
On April 15, 2012, the 33-year-old attended the opening night of "Peter and the Starcatcher" at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York City. The actress, who stepped out in zebra print, took time to stop and pose for pictures while donning a faux mustache. She kept her curly locks natural and flowy for the event.
Brooklyn Academy of Music's Anniversary Gala
On April 12, 2012, the redhead attended the Brooklyn Academy of Music's 150th Anniversary Gala. The Brooklyn born beauty wore a knee-length sparkling gunmetal gray sleeveless dress and accessorized with an embellished matching necklace, a black clutch, a couple of large rings, delicate earrings and black peep-toe pumps.
