With the second season of "The X Factor" growing closer, talks about who will join the judging panel are heating up! Demi Lovato is one of the latest names being thrown around, and rumors suggest she is very close to signing a deal. Lovato is not one of the most obvious choices to be a judge on the show, but here are three reasons she would be great!
She's young.
It would be easy to shrug Demi off, branding her too young to give advice, but perhaps a little bit of youth is what the show needs. Last year, the judging panel was filled with more mature mentors, and it didn't work out too well. At 19 years old, Lovato would be a perfect fit for the youngsters in the competition, particularly the girls. It would be refreshing to see someone who is current in the music industry having their say.
She's an all-rounder.
Demi Lovato would bring something to the table that the other judges don't have. Simon Cowell is, of course, an expert in talent spotting, as is L.A. Reid, but neither of them have ever released an album, gone on tour, or faced the pressures of being a young singer in the industry. Even Nicole Scherzinger didn't have as much all-round skill as Lovato. Demi is a singer, songwriter, and an actress. Last year's superstar, Rachel Crow, would have really benefited from her advice as a fellow all-rounder. No doubt there will be more auditionees who could use some guidance from the former Disney star.
She's real.
There has been no shortage of interest in Demi Lovato's personal life. Her stint in rehab to help her overcome bulimia, self-harming, and substance abuse is something she has been very open about. These struggles are common, not just to celebrities, but to everyday teens who don't know where to go for support. It's her honesty that makes her so easy to relate to and so well-loved by her fans. If she can bring this level of openness to "The X Factor," it will make her a huge hit with the contestants and the viewers.
Many people have been linked to "The X Factor" for the upcoming season, but Demi Lovato is by far one of the wisest choices the producers could make. She would draw in younger viewers, and give the judging panel some different credentials to boast about. Youth is what the show needs, and Lovato brings that in spades.
