    ‘Desperate Housewives’: Telling Secrets

On "Desperate Housewives," the housewives of Wisteria Lane have been keeping secrets. We think the biggest one of all is the killing of Gabriela Solis' stepfather at the end of Season 7, but it looks like that secret is unraveling and may cause a few others to come out. Susan Delfino has been unable to handle keeping the secret and even got herself arrested in the second episode. She hasn't said anything to husband Mike, but has instead turned to Carlos, figuring he would understand. Unfortunately, that has started a whole new set of secrets as Susan and Carlos sneak around behind Mike's back.

After everything Susan and Mike have been through, it seems a bit unbelievable that she wouldn't go to him regardless of what the other housewives say, and he seems to agree with that sentiment. He catches his wife with Carlos and punches him, prompting the two to tell him the whole truth. But is it too late for Mike to be understanding?

In the meantime, Bree is staying with Chuck the cop just because she thinks he knows and is keeping her secret. She and Gaby attempt to find out what information he has in some ridiculous ways that are too overdone. We expect much more from the comical talents of Marcia Cross, even though Chuck -- despite her ridiculous behavior and no mention of his divorce being finalized -- doesn't care. He actually wants to marry Bree. Chuck's upcoming proposal prompts Bree to break up with him, and then we see a quick change in the cop. He becomes angry and warns her that she better never need her help. He's made it clear that he won't ever protect her again, and it's also clear that he is not the one who sent the mystery "I know what you did" letter. It was a much more interesting scene than we've ever really seen from this boring duo.

While all of the other housewives are trying to hide a murder, Lynette is entertaining her sister, who has found her Zen with a yoga instructor. It is clear that Lynette is jealous since she and Tom have broken up, but it takes some crazy antics (played ever so well by Felicity Huffman) before she admits it.

The only housewife who doesn't have a clue there was a killing on the lane is Renee. She got to play dress up with Jenny, Lee and Bob's daughter, as she took the 11 year old out for bra, clothes and makeup shopping. Renee seemed to like it, and her repeated announcement that she never wanted to be a mother leads us to question that maybe she does have an offspring out there.
