Discovery will not renew "Cash Cab" — its Emmy-winning game show on wheels — Yahoo! TV has confirmed.
For more than 200 episodes, taxi-driving host Ben Bailey picked up seemingly unsuspecting customers in his "Cash Cab" and quizzed them with a series of increasingly difficult questions.
The news, first reported by Vulture, comes as Bailey beefs up his profile in less cramped quarters. In November he hosted Discovery's "Best in the Business," which pitted everyday workers — such as grocery baggers — against each other in competitive challenges. A month later, he hosted NBC's "Who's Still Standing," a prize show that dropped losers through a trap door but rewarded winners with up to $1 million.
Repeats of "Cash Cab" will continue to air in syndication.
