A total of 8.2 million viewers turned out on Sunday night for the Stateside broadcast of the Downton Abbey Season 3 finale, on PBS.
A new series high, that bests the season premiere’s audience of 7.9 million viewers and marks a 50 percent increase over the period drama’s sophomore finale, which drew 5.4 mil.

As a whole, Season 3 outrated the previous cycle by an average of 66 percent, and more than quadrupled PBS’ primetime average.
The U.S. premiere date for Downton Season 4 has yet to be announced.
