Elton John: Madonna Is a "Fairground Stripper" Whose Career Is Over

Elton John is ready for another round of sparring with Madonna.

The acid-tongued music legend took a shot at Madonna on Australian TV, calling her a "nightmare" whose "career is over."

Even the mention of Madonna's name sent John into a rant. "Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c---." The tour has been fraught with controversy. Madonna has repeatedly flashed her breasts while performing, and a conservative French political party threatened to sue the singer for showing a video of leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika on her forehead during a concert in Paris. Additionally, Madge was booed during a Paris concert when she left the stage after just 45 minutes.

Elton also took the opportunity to defend Lady Gaga, the godmother to his and husband David Furnish's son. "If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray Of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no, she had to go and prove... she looks like a f---ing fairground stripper. She's been horrible to Gaga."
