West Wing alum Bradley Whitford is getting hitched to the ABC comedy pilot Trophy Wife, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The Emmy-winning actor will star opposite Malin Akerman in the single-camera project, which centers on a reformed party girl (Akerman) who finds herself in an insta-family when she falls in love with a man (Whitford) with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives.
Feature writers Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins penned the script and will serve as EPS alongside Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.
Whitford recently booked an arc on the third season of Showtime’s Shameless, playing a sophisticated gay man who spends most of his time as a political activist.
