Exclusive: A Different World Vet Heads to Grey's Anatomy

There's a new doc at Seattle Grace.

A Different World's Dominic Hoffman will guest-star on Grey's Anatomy this season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Like the other Season 9 guest stars, details on his role are being kept under wraps, but we can reveal that he'll play a doctor at Seattle Grace for at least one episode. This begs the question: What kind of doctor is he? He seems a bit old to be an intern, right?

Grey's Anatomy: Will Arizona Robbins and Mark Sloan die?

Hoffman, whose credits also include Hangin' with Mr. Cooper and The Mentalist, joins previously announced Grey's guest stars Tina Majorino, Gaius Charles, Camilla Luddington and newcomer Tessa Ferrer.

Grey's Anatomy returns Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9/8c on ABC.
