"Medium" is a show about a psychic named Allison DuBois. She works for the local district attorney and helps to solve crimes. This show had millions of viewers each week, but apparently that was just not enough to keep it going strong. Here are five reasons why CBS made a huge mistake by canceling this show:
Patricia Arquette
She is amazing as Allison. She has been impressive in almost every episode of this show. She did a great job of pretending she can't understand English on a recent episode. She has traded places with her daughter and was a very convincing teenage girl. I don't think they could have found anyone better to play this part.
Sofia Vassilieva aka Ariel DuBois
This character has so much potential. She has been slowly developing her abilities and is now off at college. They could show us so much about her life there, and the new things she is learning to do now. Every time she was involved by using her psychic ability you could tell it was getting stronger.
It Wasn't Reality TV
Our television networks have become obsessed with reality TV, and that is almost all that is on anymore. It was nice to have a show still on the air that was just a good show. It wasn't about people wanting plastic surgery before they get married or having babies as teenagers. It was just a decent show about a family with good morals.
Family Bonding
It was a great concept how one of the children would have a dream that would help Allison to solve her case. They were able to use their abilities to help many times, such as when their daughter Marie was using paper dolls and actually telling them the future of her father's company without even realizing what she was doing at the time.
Amazing Couple
It was nice to actually see a couple on television that seemed like a real couple. They have their fights and of course Joe does not always understand her abilities, but they are real. The show would let us see their fights, but also their love. This couple would tease each other all the time in ways that you could tell they had feelings for each other. It was amazing to watch how great their chemistry was and how they would do anything to make the relationship work.
