If you love the comedy of "The Big Bang Theory," you would probably enjoy some of the other great 30-minute sitcoms on television. After you are done laughing at Sheldon Cooper every week, you can enjoy a few of these great comedies as well. Here are five great comedies that will you have laughing in your chair each time you watch them.
"How I Met Your Mother"
This show is based on trying to find out who Ted will eventually marry and have children with in the future. One of the main characters is Barney, played by Neil Patrick Harris. He is hilarious in every bit of this show. The dynamic between this group of friends is amazing. This is one you don't want to miss. It airs on CBS on Mondays at 8 pm EST.
"Two and a Half Men"
Charlie Sheen stars in this show alongside Jon Cryer. These two brothers live together and are raising the son of Jon Cryer's character. They both love this child and want what is best for him. The family that they have together is fun to watch. This one is on CBS on Mondays at 9 pm EST.
"$#*! My Dad Says"
This series is based on a Twitter account that became very famous and fast. The man was always tweeting about the funny things that came out of the mouth of his elderly father. William Shatner plays the dad in this hilarious comedy based on the ideas of the famous account on Twitter. He lives with his son. You can normally catch this on Thursdays on CBS at 8:30 pm EST, but the show isn't on the schedule for at least another week. Keep checking back.
"Rules of Engagement"
David Spade stars in this comedy about several different relationships. He is a single guy who is out looking for love or whatever he can get that night. It also focuses on his friends who are in different stages of their relationships. This show is moving to a new time slot on Thursdays at 8:30 pm EST on CBS.
"Modern Family"
This hit show has been nominated for six Emmy's and is very popular. This show is about the family named the Dunphys. It is all about raising a family and the laughter, joy, and everything else that comes along with this job. This show is in its second season at this time. It airs Wednesdays at 9 pm EST on ABC.
