After making his mark in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises and delivering an extremely diverse catalog of characters on the big screen, capped this year with memorable performances in 42 and Paranoia -- Harrison Ford will be honored with this year's Hollywood Career Achievement Award at the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards.
The 71-year-old, Oscar-nominated star will be presented with the honor at the Hollywood Film Awards Gala Ceremony, to be hosted by ET's own Nancy O'Dell on Monday evening, October 21, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The first film awards show of the busy awards season, the Hollywood Film Awards delivers the first taste of which stars and which films may earn the top accolades of the year. 2013 also marks the 10th year that ET has hosted the Gala Ceremony, and Nancy's third round.
"In the last ten years, a total of 96 Oscar nominations and 34 Oscars were given to the honorees of the Hollywood Film Awards," says Carlos de Abreu, founder and executive producer of the Hollywood Film Awards. "We are also grateful to Entertainment Tonight and Nancy O'Dell for their decade of support."
Last year's Hollywood Film Awards show received more than 41 million media impressions, in addition to more than 300 million online and print readers' impressions.
