Stacy Francis was an early favorite to win "The X Factor," but every week, the prize seems to be slipping further away from her. She won fans at her first audition when she told her story of how a bad relationship had hindered her singing career. However, since she has been performing on the live shows, she has struggled to keep up with some of the other singers. Here are four reasons why Stacy Francis won't win "The X Factor."
Her voice tends to get screechy at the high notes
There's no denying that Francis has an amazing voice, but it still needs a lot of work. When she goes for the high notes, it often becomes strained and sounds like she is shouting or screaming. This is something viewers will see as a weakness, and when she gets to the later stages of the competition, it is highly likely to lead to her exit from the show.
People are already down on her because of her earlier career
When it was revealed that Stacy has already had a pretty successful career, viewers of "The X Factor" felt duped. Francis has performed with Madonna, and once had a record deal with Warner Bros, yet in her first audition, she made it sound like she had never had a lucky break. Although she didn't make it to the dizzy heights of fame, it might have been better for her to be completely honest about her singing past. Unfortunately, because she never revealed it, people can't help feeling like they have been lied to.
She doesn't have enough of the "likeability" factor
Half the battle of a TV talent show is getting people to like the acts, not just their voices. Although Stacy Francis is a far cry from some of the reality TV monsters of the past, she isn't showing off enough of her personality to make the audience connect with her. Often, she looks sad faced, and people like the ever-sunny Rachel Crow are really overshadowing her.
There are simple better singers in the show
Josh Kracjik, Drew Ryniewicz, Rachel Crow and Brian "Astro" Bradley are streets ahead of Stacy Francis when it comes to talent and entertainment. That's not to say that Francis doesn't have those things, they just aren't quite enough to make her a favorite to win. She will still do well no matter what the final outcome is, but she is not going to be this year's winner of "The X Factor."
