Frank Ocean Pulled Over, Cited for Pot Possession

Singer Frank Ocean had his driver's license suspended and faces a marijuana possession charge after being pulled over twice in two days for speeding, The Associated Press reports.

Ocean was first pulled over while driving on U.S. 395 on Dec. 30 in Eastern Sierra Nevada, Calif., and was pulled over again at about 4:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve on the same road, according to the Mono County Sheriff's Department. He was allegedly going more than 90 mph in a 65-mph zone both times.

The police deputy who pulled Ocean over the second time smelled "a strong odor of marijuana" coming from the car, and later found a small bag of marijuana on the singer, according to the sheriff's department.

Police confiscated Ocean's license and cited him for driving with a suspended license, having tinted front windows and marijuana possession. He received a verbal warning for speeding.

The Grammy nominee flippantly addressed the incidents on Twitter on Jan. 3, writing, "hi guys, i smoke pot. ok guys, bye" and then, "hi guys, i drive a m3. that bitch fast..ok guys, bye. :)"
