FX's new drama The Americans will premiere on Wednesday, January 30 at 10/9c, the network announced Tuesday.
Starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, The Americans follows two undercover KGB spies posing as a married couple in Washington, D.C., during the Cold War. As time goes on, the arranged marriage between Philip (Rhys) and Elizabeth (Russell) becomes genuine, though Philip's increasing acceptance of American values further complicate things.
Philip and Elizabeth must also work to keep up their cover under the paranoid eye of newly-elected President Reagan while living next door to an FBI agent assigned to fight foreign agents, including Russian spies like them.
The Americans is created and executive-produced by Falling Skies Joe Weisberg, a former CIA agent. Watch the trailer below.
