YOUR FRIENDS' ACTIVITY

At the end of "Glee" Season 3, eight of the New Directions members graduated. Rachel (Lea Michele) went off to the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts after Finn (Cory Monteith) broke off their engagement to enlist in the Army. Kurt (Chris Colfer) wasn't accepted to NYADA.

Mercedes (Amber Riley) decided to move to L.A. after becoming a sensation on YouTube, while Puckerman (Mark Salling) will follow her there to expand his pool-cleaning business. Mike Chang (Harry Shum) got into dance school in Chicago, while Quinn (Dianna Agron) got into Yale. Lastly, Santana (Naya Rivera) wants to skip college to pursue artistic goals.

Brittany (Heather Morris) flunked senior year, which is not shocking. What is shocking is that she made it that far.

All these changes spell reinvention for the dramedy and make room for new cast members. Reinvention on a TV series is wonderful when it's handled properly. "Glee" may have it right by giving viewers a glimpse of what's up with the characters they love, while weaning us off them to allow time to cultivate love for new characters.

According to a Vulture exclusive interview with Ryan Murphy, all the graduates will continue to have a place on the show. Some, such as Rachel, may even continue as main characters. Despite that, Wetpaint found that Dianna Agron's Quinn may be written off the show after only a few episodes. Could the same thing happen to some of the other characters? Only time will tell.

All that and a baby, too! Sue is pregnant, but there's no news yet on who the father is. You can bet it will be an entertaining and humorous revelation!

See what happens next on the Season 4 premiere episode, "The New Rachel," at 9PM on Thursday, 9/13 on Fox.
