You cross The Good Wife‘s hard-charging David Lee at your own risk.
And now that his portayer Zach Grenier has been made a series regular for the show’s upcoming fifth season, the question looms whether he’ll turn his vitriol toward Alicia and Cary as they file for (professional) divorce from Lockhart-Gardner and start their own firm.
News of Grenier’s promotion broke via CBS Television Studios’ Twitter account this afternoon. Grenier has been a recurring player on the series since Season 1, portraying the cunning, power-hungry head of Lockhart-Gardner’s family law practice, a man who’s been known to relish intrigue and infighting when it comes to office politics.
Interestingly, Grenier’s character informally counseled protagonist Alicia on her personal affairs when she contemplated separating from her husband, recently elected governor Peter Florrick — a fact that could come back to haunt her now that she’s changed professional allegiances.
Excited about Grenier’s promotion? Any thoughts on how the show’s writers can or should proceed with David Lee for Season 5? Sound off in the comments!
