Fans won't have to wait much longer for Season 2 of 'Grimm'! The show returns the first Monday after the Olympics on August 13, 2012 at 10 p.m. ET with the episode "Bad Teeth." Until then, NBC has released a new preview ad for the show which looks very promising. A few other clues about guest characters have been released as well.
Monroe and Rosalee kiss?
The preview shows a quick flash of Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) kissing someone. That someone appears to be Rosalee (Bree Turner). That is great news for fans who have been rooting for those two Wesens to get together since Rosalee was first introduced in the episode "Island of Dreams." In addition, a TVLine interview with David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf revealed that Bree Turner will have a greater role in Season 2, and that she will have something really terrible happen to her.
"Lost" and "Brothers & Sisters" actors will guest star
TVGuide.com learned exclusively that the third episode of Season 2, "Bad Moon Rising," will guest star both Mark Pellegrino ("Lost") and John Pyper-Ferguson ("Brothers & Sisters") as coyotl Wesen (coyote-like creatures). Coyotls are typically bullies with pack mentalities and a strong sense of loyalty. They are not likely to forgive those who betray them.
Pyper-Ferguson will play Hayden Walker, who wants justice against Mark Pellegrino's character, Jarold, for disgracing his family name. Hayden is mourning the passing of his sister, but has to bring his family to Portland in order to find Jarold. Jarold is an old friend of Hank's (Russell Hornsby) from high school, who is searching for his missing daughter.
An episode with a religious slant?
E! Online discovered that one of the Season 2 "Grimm" episodes will have a minister named Lyle who has a complicated past. His church is called the "Good Shepherd" Church. Does this mean there will be a religiously slanted episode? That may be a good thing, as movies and books such as "The Da Vinci Code" can be truly creepy!
Captain Renard revealed!
During the TVLine interview, Greenwalt explained that viewers will learn much more about Renard (Sasha Roiz) in Season 2 than they did in Season 1, and those secrets will be learned early in the season. Perhaps we will learn just how bad the police captain really is, and to whom he answers.
