Harlem Shake meme takes over TV! [Video]

Forget calling me maybe … let's do the Harlem Shake!

The newest viral meme has already taken over YouTube and now it's conquering television. Everyone from the animated characters of "The Simpsons" to the stars of "Supernatural" to "The Today Show" hosts has done their own take on the popular craze.

The meme all started earlier this month when YouTube vlogger Filthy Frank posted a video set to Baauer's electronica song, "Harlem Shake." The basic setup involves a single dancer (usually masked) dancing alone as surrounding people seem unaware. After 15 seconds, the video cuts to show the rest of people all dancing -- usually while wearing weird costumes or carrying unusual props.

The original video has been viewed over 5.3 million times and a YouTube search for "Harlem Shake" has nearly 30,000 results. People all around the world are jumping on the trend -- including celebrities.

Check out some of TV's homages to the "Harlem Shake":
