It was blue times for the blue team on the latest episode of "Hell's Kitchen." On the back of losing a challenge, the blue team had one of their worst dinner services ever. An angered Gordon booted the entire group from the kitchen after Patrick sent up cold lobster for the second time. Once again, there was a war over which two contestants deserved to be nominated. The team's problems proved to be the major theme of the night. Here is a recap of the June 26 episode of "Hell's Kitchen."
The challenge
Each team sees four domes sitting in front of them. Gordon informs them that a bell will ring every five minutes, and a dome will be lifted. Under each dome are six different ingredients. Each chef must choose one, and each must use whatever they choose. This proves to be a difficult task for the red team, who battle each other over every ingredient. The blue team runs much smoother, but everything comes down to the food. Gordon invites three judges that have earned Michelin stars to determine the winners. It's a tight competition but the blue team has a slight edge entering the final round. Unfortunately, Royce presents a dish with a hair on it and winds up earning the minimum score. That opens the door for Christina, who impresses with her lobster dish. The red team wins and heads off to the spa, while the blue team is forced to clean the dorms and prep both kitchens.
Dinner service
Gordon informs the teams that special guests will be visiting the chef's table. The red team will be serving boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard, while the blue team will be serving UFC icon Tito Ortiz. Both teams start slow with appetizers, but the red team hits its stride. Aside from a few issues with the beef wellingtons, they complete a successful service. Meanwhile, the blue team invites disaster when it comes to the main dishes. Roshni continues to botch the meat while Patrick ruins the lobster. After his frustrations reach their peak, Gordon boots the entire blue team from the kitchen, and allows the red team to finish for them. Naturally, the blue team is declared the loser.
The elimination ceremony
Patrick manipulates the vote, and Clemenza and Brian end up on the chopping block. However, a stunned Gordon says that neither deserves to be there. He decides that Patrick and Roshni deserve to face elimination. After hearing their pleas, Gordon asks the team members which cook deserves to go home. Surprisingly, everyone but Royce says that Roshni should leave, and Gordon seems to listen. Roshni is shown the door, and the blue team is left to figure out how to turn things around.
