Season 10 of "Hell's Kitchen" is in full swing, and the fourth episode of the season was a great one. Each team experienced highs and lows during this episode. While the blue team managed to keep their momentum going through the challenge, dinner service proved to be a different story. After both teams failed to live up to Gordon's lofty standards, Don ended up being given the axe. With both teams struggling, things are starting to get interesting on "Hell's Kitchen." Here is a recap of the season's fourth episode.
The guys keep it going.
Coming off of their first dinner service victory, the blue team made it two wins in a row by taking their first challenge. The teams had to chase down sheep in order to determine which ingredients they could use for a series of lamb dishes. Each team made four different styles of lamb, and most of them pleased Gordon. Unfortunately, Robyn and Barbie lose the challenge for their team when they put up raw lamb. After that, it's an all-out war on the red team. They bicker throughout their punishment and dinner service. All of the momentum seems to be with the blue team.
Dinner service is a disaster.
Once again, both teams proved to be inept during dinner service. Don is booted out of the kitchen after messing up meat, but the real weak link for the blue team was Brian. He undercooked and overcooked fish so many times that he eventually ran out of time. On the red team, Danielle struggled to get started on appetizers. Gordon eventually boots both her and Robyn from the kitchen. With a number of chefs exiled from each team, the remaining cooks produced a little bit better. However, Gordon ultimately declares both teams as the losers. He compares watching them perform to having a root canal and a kidney stone at the same time. Clearly, he wasn't pleased.
The elimination ceremony
With two losing teams, four cooks are up on the chopping block. The men have no problem putting up Don and Brian. However, the red team has a tougher time making decisions. With the villainous Barbie safe for the week, they ultimately decide to send up Danielle and Roshni. Based on his continuous struggles, Don is given the boot. To the horror of the contestants, Gordon isn't done yet. After seeing Roshni face elimination for the third time, he decides to place her on the blue team. With the first team switch happening this early in the game, things are likely to get very interesting in the coming weeks.
