In the latest episode of "Hell's Kitchen," the final nine chefs carried out what should have been their best dinner service yet. Each team had their own menu, and Chef Ramsay's hope was that the teams would work together and accomplish a lot. Instead, the exact opposite happened. Both teams bickered, and both had cooks booted from the kitchen. When all was said and done, Gordon declared that there was no winning team and decided to send a strong message to the remaining contestants. Here is a recap of the latest episode of "Hell's Kitchen."
Dinner service
This episode picked up with Gordon reluctantly approving the menus for each team. He announced that the diners will be filling out comments cards in order to help him determine the winner. With that, the chefs are off and running. The red team gets off to a fast start as their appetizers fly out of the kitchen. However, the blue team falls behind when Robyn can't handle the squash dish. She brings both undercooked and overcooked samples to Gordon, prompting him to scold her in front of everyone. Robyn blames Justin, who refused to work with her on the dish he created.
Despite their strong start on appetizers, the red team starts to struggle with meat. Kimmie makes multiple mistakes on the meat station, leading to Gordon questioning her desire. Dana's raw lobster doesn't help matters, and the red team starts to fall behind. Unfortunately, the blue team can't rally because Brian makes several mistakes with fried onions. To make matters worse, Clemenza messes up a sea bass order and tries to cover his tracks by saying that one is on the way. In reality, he has nothing in the pan. Brian tries to help, but his raw sea bass leads to the entire team getting booted.
Things aren't much better on the red team. Tiffany's problems lead to her getting sent upstairs. First, she cooks with a dirty pan. Then, she makes too many mistakes with the potatoes. Her negative attitude proves to be too much for anyone to handle. After she gets kicked out, the red team finishes dinner service, but they don't impress Gordon. He announces that both teams lose and both must face elimination.
The elimination ceremony
Four chefs are on the chopping block in this episode. The blue team nominates Clemenza and Robyn, both of whom disagree with their spot on the block. After some infighting, Gordon has had enough and moves on to the red team. Tiffany and Barbie are the nominees there, with the team citing Barbie's slow prep work. Gordon hears the pleas from all four, but ultimately decides to send Tiffany home. There are four cooks remaining on each side, and Gordon has strong words for them. He announces that he wants to see their best, or else he will start getting rid of them a lot faster.
