There weren't any eliminations on the latest episode of "Hell's Kitchen," but that doesn't mean it wasn't a wild episode. Chef Ramsay decides to test the cooks on their ability to prepare steak, which makes sense since the winner will run his new steakhouse in Las Vegas. Not only did the episode's challenge revolve around steak, but so did the punishment and the dinner service. It all added up to another solid episode. Here is a recap of the latest episode of "Hell's Kitchen."
The challenge
Since Gordon's new steakhouse is going to be in Vegas, he decided to bring a little of the city to the kitchen. As the chefs looked on in awe, Gordon pulled the drape off of a huge slot machine. It turns out that the teams will be paired off, and one chef from each team will prepare a different steak dinner. In order to determine the ingredients, they will have to take a run on the slots. Since the women have an extra player, Kimmie agrees to sit out. However, Gordon says that she will be able to challenge one of her own teammates and prepare the exact same dish. Much to Robyn's disgust, Kimmie chooses her.
As the chefs present their dishes to Gordon, Justin earns the most praise. However, the teams are tied at two when the final chefs approach. It comes down to Clemenza and Robyn, whose dish was chosen by her teammates instead of Kimmie's. Clemenza wins the point and the challenge for his team. Gordon requests to taste Kimmie's dish and says that it was wonderful. Once again, the red team made a mistake. As the blue team goes off to enjoy their reward for shopping and dining, the red team is forced to unload a massive cow carcass off of a truck.
The bickering continues.
As the red team was preparing the steak for their punishment, the war of words between Kimmie and Robyn escalated. It even carried over into the middle of the night while Kimmie was sleeping. After being annoyed at Kimmie's snoring, Robyn sneaks into another bedroom. That seems to annoy the other girls. Things aren't any better during prep, and this time the battle is between Tiffany and Barbie. The two continue to argue right up until Chef Ramsay shows up. Clearly, the red team is not on the same page.
Kimmie gets burned.
This dinner service is based on steak, and there will also be a children's menu. Gordon lines up the chefs to tell them that he will be watching things very closely. As the teams get ready to start the night, Kimmie burns herself in two different places. After Clemenza helps her to the medic, she is told that she can't come back out to do dinner service. That leaves us with a cliffhanger before the next episode. Will Kimmie be forced to leave the competition? Will the red team be able to work together? Can the blue team keep the momentum going? These are some big questions left open after this episode of "Hell's Kitchen."
