In the Hot Seat: What to watch (or not) on TV talk shows the week of November 19

    Monday, November 19
Watch: We love "All on the Line with Joe Zee"; it's between seasons right now, but Mr. Zee himself is on "Good Morning America" to run down the best and worst looks from last night's American Music Award (DJ Kiss lends a hand too). Aimee Mann is on "Kimmel." Katie Holmes might dish on her divorce (probably not, but…we can hope) on "Live with Kelly & Michael." And Dr. Phil checks in with the world's biggest bride -- who had at one point wanted to weigh 800 pounds for her wedding -- to see if she's sticking with a weight-loss program.

Skip: You can "smell along with" Rachael Ray on Monday; her "Every Day" magazine has scented insert cards that let you feel like you're there, all week long. But Smell-o-Vision "technology" isn't any better than it was back in the '60s. Just use your imagination.

    Tuesday, November 20
    Watch:
Dr. Phil's back, this time visiting Rachael Ray to help you mediate family disputes at the Thanksgiving dinner table. (We'll settle this one for you right now: no raisins in the stuffing. Ever.) William Shatner hits "Access Hollywood Live," and if he sings, we'll be the thankful ones. "The View" has two awesome chroniclers of the American experience, Willie Nelson and Ken Burns, and "Parks & Rec"'s Amy Poehler is on Letterman. And if Thanksgiving makes you want to "Breakway," Kelly Clarkson is on "Ellen."

Skip: Lindsay Lohan is on Leno; we don't know about you, but we…kind of can't watch. (And we hear "Liz & Dick" is really not good.)

    Wednesday, November 21
    Watch:
Last night's "Dancing With the Stars" ejectees visit "Good Morning America," the charming Joseph Gordon-Levitt visits Jay Leno, and "President" Tony Goldwyn of "Scandal" hits "The Talk" (if you haven't watched that show, give it a spin).

Skip: Sherri Shepherd rehearsing with the Knicks City Dancers on "The View."

    Thursday, November 22
    Watch:
Plenty of Thanksgiving Day Parade coverage to choose from; we'd recommend Sam Champion on "Good Morning America"…mainly because 1) we've been calling that dude "Cham Sampion" since we were kids (we don't get out much) and 2) he seriously has aged like ten minutes. Stick around for a pro-tip look at Black Friday from "Reader's Digest." "The Chew" reruns its turkey-carving tips from Monday in case you didn't DVR it…and Fallon is new, somehow, and he's got Martha Stewart.

Skip: The Comedy Central shows -- "Daily Show," "Colbert" are in reruns all week.

    Friday, November 23
    Watch:
Lots of reruns thanks to the holiday, but if you're not throwing elbows at a major retailer today, musician/producer Don Was walks the dinosaur with Tavis Smiley; "The View" hosts Atlanta "Real Housewife" NeNe Leakes, with help from guest co-host Dr. Drew; and "Chelsea Lately" has a full line-up, including Ginnifer Goodwin of "Once Upon a Time."

Skip: "Thanksgiving leftover ideas with Grammy-award-winning singer Michelle Branch"? Not sure you need a Grammy to know how to put turkey between two slices of multi-grain, "Access Hollywood Live."
