"Glee"
produces several song and dance numbers in each episode. The singers get all the glory, but what about the dancers? The choreography, and the dancers that perform it, help make the show fun. Fans already know that Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, can dance as well as she can play dumb. Artie McHale, who plays Artie, might be in a wheelchair in every episode, but also has plenty of dancing talent. What about the other dancers? The performers that don't even have a character name, but help make the show-stopping performances on "Glee" the best they can be. Let's meet them:Harry Shum, Jr - Mike Chang: Thank the "Glee" masters that Mike Chang is becoming a larger character in the show. Harry Shum, Jr. is not only a marvelous dancer but he has a fun personality to go with that talent. That talent and personality shines through in the web series "The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers." Shum plays Elliot Hoo, a typical guy who finds a pair of shoes, called X7's, that turn him into a dancing hero. Not only has Shum performed in the series, but also he has produced and choreographed several episodes.
Lauren Gottlieb - Dancer: Lauren Gottlieb is best recognized from Season 2 of "So You Think Can Dance." She has been a member of both New Directions and Vocal Adrenaline in "Glee." Her list of accomplishments includes dancing for Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Sean Kingston and more. She's also done choreography.
Casper Smart - Dancer: Not only has Casper Smart been a dancer in a few "Glee" episodes, but he has also danced in "The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers." He plays one of Karey's OX, a dancing and fighting force. Besides fighting dancing bad guys, Smart has danced in "Step Up: 3D," "Dance Flick," and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."
Rachael Markarian - Cheerio: Rachael Markarian has played an un-credited role as a cheerio in "Glee." She started dancing when she was three years old, and trained throughout the country. Her credits include TV, movies and on stage as actor, dancer and choreographer. Markarian is a part of Evolution Dance Workshops.
The Warblers: Alongside Blaine's sultry voice are several other members of The Warblers, including fan favorite, Kurt. The Warblers perform like a giant boy band. Every member has the skill to sing and dance. Who are the members of The Warblers? There's Riker Lynch (Jeff), who is also a member of the band R5, Curt Mega (Nick), Telly Leung (Wes), who can be seen in "Rent: Filmed Live On Broadway," and Titus Makin, Jr. (David), a singer, dancer and gymnast. Together, they make up one killer boy band.
Brittany Perry-Russell - Cheerio: Before becoming a Cheerio for Sue Sylvester, Perry-Russell appeared in several music videos for Usher, Michael Jackson and Cher. She also toured with Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and more. Since "Glee," she landed the lead role in the sequel "Honey 2."
"Glee" might be known for the songs, but the performances would not be as amazing without the choreography and the dancers. As Harry Shum, Jr. said on his Tumblr Blog, "Dance is just has important as any other art forms."
