Jennifer Lopez on Idol: "It's Maybe Time for Me to Go"

Did Jennifer Lopez reveal that she's leaving American Idol on live television?

While promoting her film Ice Age: Continental Drift in a satellite interview with Today's Natalie Morales on Thursday, Lopez hesitated when the anchor switched the subject to Idol. Lopez said she initially signed on the Fox show for a year, but after judging for two, she isn't sure if she should return — and strongly hinted that she won't.

Adam Lambert to become American Idol judge?

"The truth is ... I've enjoyed it so much, but I am thinking it's maybe time for me to go and do other things I really love to do like films ... and performing," she said. "This has been a great journey, but then again I love the show so... all I can tell you is what I'm thinking."

Lopez previously suggested in May that she might not return for a third year alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson. "I don't know if I can go for a third year," she told former Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres. "I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year."

Do you want her to return?
