The final season of "Jersey Shore" is winding down, and this was the penultimate episode. While the finale figures to be very emotional for the gang, this episode was mostly fun. Not only did Mike reveal his past life as a stripper, but the meatballs held an Olympics-style competition in order to spread their party-loving lifestyle. It was nice to see the "Jersey Shore" gang goof off, and this episode certainly had a lot of that. Here is a recap of the latest episode, "Raining Men & Meatballs."
Meatball auditions
Deena and Snooki decide to hit the boardwalk and hold auditions for a new meatball. Before that, they head to the store to buy some props and prizes. Surprisingly, a number of women take part in the series of challenges. Events include taking a body shot off an older man, pounding Southern Comfort shots, and walking around in goofy outfits. Snooki and Deena love how the girls do anything that they say, and they end up choosing three new meatballs. The winners party all day with Deena, who invites them to join her and the gang for their last night out. However, none of the girls last very long once they're at the club. That includes Deena, who was wasted before she even went out.Mike's past life as a stripper
Mike reveals that he was once a stripper -- a job he picked up in order to pay for college. He explains that he mostly served drinks, but also provided massages and lap dances. Of course, Mike was up to much more than revealing secrets. He had yet another awkward encounter with ex-flame Paula at Karma. After Paula witnesses Mike grinding with a girl, and even propositioning her, she gets incredibly angry. She tells Mike that he's done with her, and he says that the girl was hitting on him. Paula ends up apologizing for losing it and seals the reconciliation with a kiss.Later in the episode, Mike reluctantly decides to reward the roommates by showing off his stripper moves. After a Sunday dinner, he reveals his alter ego, Vito, and was ready to strip for the gang. The roommates set the stage by converting the house into a club, complete with fog machines and lights. Mike proceeds to start dancing and ends up shaking it in front of JWoww. The roommates universally agree that Mike isn't very good, but it turns out to be one of the funniest moments of the summer.
JWoww and Jionni make peace
JWoww talks to Roger, who tells her that Jionni is pretty ticked off that she is accusing him of never being around. After yelling about it to the roommates, she gives Jionni a call to yell at him for his lack on involvement. However, he explains that he's been there every weekend. JWoww apologizes because she didn't realize this detail, and the two make peace. It seems like everyone is finally getting along with Jionni. The rest of the gang
It was a largely quiet episode for the rest of "Jersey Shore" gang. Pauly finally brings a lady home from the club and ends up scaring the roommates by shaking the bed more than usual. Meanwhile, Ron and Sam have a special date. It seems like both are happy to be together, and they talk about getting a place together after leaving the shore house. Clearly, their days of fighting are behind them... well, hopefully.
