Justin Bieber Opens Up to Oprah About Selena Gomez Pre-Breakup: I Never Make Her Separate from Me

"There's never been a star like you," Oprah muses. But the legendary host isn't talking about herself — she's talking about 18-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber!

During the in-depth Oprah's Next Chapter interview, which was taped before Bieber's breakup with Selena Gomez last week, the singer opens up about it fame, the paternity scandal he faced last year and — yes — Gomez. The "As Long As You Love Me" singer seemed completely smitten with Gomez during the interview and fawned over his gal pal of two years.

"I never make her separate from me [because] I don't want her to ever feel like I'm ashamed of her," Bieber told Winfrey. "I feel like a lot of guys do that, especially in the business. They don't want to be seen with the girl, so they'll make them ride in separate cars and do all that getaway stuff. ... We get away, we're getting away together."
