Saturday Night Live closes out its 38th season this weekend, with host Ben Affleck and musical guest Kanye West. And one thing is clear: Don't expect West to demonstrate that he has any sense of humor whatsoever.
West went on a rant about the nature of celebrity at the Adult Swim upfront this week and slammed SNL in the process, according to Complex.
"[I had a friend ask me, 'Are you gonna go on] SNL and you're going to do like a skit about the paparazzi and sh-- and like humanize yourself?" West told the crowd at the upfront presentation. "I ain't here to apologize to no motherf---ers man. It ain't about me humanizing myself. At what point did I become unhuman where I had to turn myself back? Or maybe I was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not human in that kind of situation."
Continued West: "I ain't no motherf---ing celebrity. ... Hell nah I ain't doing no motherf--ing SNL skits, this my g--damn life. This ain't no motherf--ing joke. That's it. Stop that sh-- right there."
It's up in the air whether the Saturday Night Live writers will take note. According to a report on PerezHilton.com this week, West also said he would refuse to perform on the show if any of the skits mocked his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, who's pregnant with the couple's first child.
