This weekend's episode of 'Khloe and Lamar' was an emotional one for sure. Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian returned to Los Angeles so that the Dallas Mavericks could play the Lakers. Being a former player of the Lakers, it was a sensitive homecoming for Lam Lam.
In the beginning of the episde, Lamar is shown finally bonding with some of his Dallas teammates. They are cracking jokes back and forth. They even go out for a team bonding dinner because there are so many new Mavericks players. Chemistry is key to having a successful basketball team, and with the Mavs being champs the past year there was a lot to live up to.
Lamar heads home to Khloe and they lay in bed talking about his experience thus far. It is clearly a stressful one; however, the team bonding is helping and Lam finally feels like he is playing up to his standards.
The couple heads home for the Laker's game where they come into conflict with the NBA player's best friend, Jamie. Jamie complains that he has not been receiving all-star treatment ever since his friend left to Dallas. This hurts Lamar and Khloe, having them wonder if Jamie is really a true friend or fame hungry.
Khloe hangs out with the younger sisters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. She jokes around with them and has a good time. It seems good to be home! The Kardashian teases her sister Kendall about having a boyfriend, which she denies over and over again, but it looks like they are all happy to be back together.
Before the game, when Jamie comes to pick up his Los Angeles Laker tickets, Khloe decides to confront him about how spoiled and affected he has been acting. She explains that Lamar really just needs a friend and his actions have deeply hurt the NBA star. She suggests that he give his friend a call to set things right. Jamie calls and his voicemail is much appreciated before the big game.
Lamar heads to the stadium. Once he gets there, emotions are everywhere. People are sporting Odom jerseys, he receives a video montage, and even a standing ovation. Clearly, the Lakers fans are respectful and appreciate all that he has done for the team.
In the end, the Mavericks lose to the Lakers 73-70. A sports caster interviews Lamar and asks him how being home was. He explains that it has been great, but in a career sense he has to move forward. A positive end to an emotional episode.
