    Kim Kardashian Lands Recurring Role on Drop Dead Diva

    Kim Kardashian is ready for her close-up!

    The E! reality star has inked a deal to appear in a multi-episode arc on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, the network confirmed Thursday.

    Joining the cast for its fourth season, Kardashian, 31, will play the role of Nikki, Fred's (Ben Feldman) new love interest who works with his ex on a business venture.

    "I'm ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family," creator and executive producer Josh Berman tells Us Weekly in a statement. "In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I'm blown away by her smarts, sense of humor, and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I'm so excited to see Kim 'reinvented' in the world of Drop Dead Diva."

    Diva isn't Kardashian's first foray into scripted TV. In 2009, she appeared as Debbie Fallon on CSI: NY. She'll also appear in Tyler Perry's next film, The Marriage Counselor, debuting later this year.

    New episodes of Drop Dead Diva begin airing this summer, with Kardashian's first appearance being on the season premiere.
