Kim Kardashian's Hairstylist: Kanye West "Has a Huge Part" in Her Style Decisions

Getting a haircut might not seem significant, but when you're photographed as much as Kim Kardashian is, even little changes can make a big difference. Which could explain why the 32-year-old reality star was so apprehensive about trying out blunt bangs.

"She was definitely nervous," hairstylist Philip Wolff tells Us Weekly of Kardashian's new look, which she debuted on Twitter on Wednesday, March 13, after asking mom Kris Jenner and other pals for their opinions. "She even said jokingly, 'What if I start crying...?'" (No tears were shed.)

One person who didn't get to weigh in was boyfriend Kanye West, who was out of town at the time. But Wolff is confident the rapper will approve. "She did say she felt he'd love them on her, so that made me feel even better about it," he says. "I've had a few interactions with him, and he's a great guy."

"Kanye has a huge part in her [style] decisions...which I think is a great dynamic for them as a couple," the celeb stylist adds. "They both share a passion for fashion and style -- I love that."

Wolff says he normally steers away "from any drastic appearances changes while [a client] is pregnant," but he made an exception in Kardashian's case. "I could feel she was ready and this was something she'd been thinking of doing for a while now," he tells Us of the mom-to-be, expecting her first child with West in July.

"She wanted something new without being too drastic...I feel it's so important for a woman to feel sexy throughout her pregnancy, and this happened to be a small part of that for her," he explains. "Kim was so happy with the end result...I personally love them on her, but then again, she has such an amazing face shape and bone structure that she was the luxury of wearing almost any style and it looks great. What makes Kim so sexy to me is that she wears her hair -- her hair doesn't wear her."
