Kris Jenner sat down this morning with Matt Lauer on "The Today Show" to talk about the upcoming season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." The veteran journalist seemed playful and feigned embarrassment at having to ask the reality TV momager questions about subjects like "KimYe." That's the celeb mono-name for Kim Kardashian and current beau Kanye West, of course.
Other topics tackled in the chat include Khloe Kardashian Odom's paternity and a DNA test; whether "Khloe and Lamar" is canceled or on hiatus; and the prospect of Kris' daughters firing her. Her answers ranged from "You'll have to watch the show" to "Everything is great." Lauer joked that someone should call the Museum of Broadcasting about the "very important" interview.
Kris and oldest daughter Kourtney Kardashian recently took on an issue that is no laughing matter. Mom accompanied a very pregnant Kourt to visit sick children at L.A.'s Children's Hospital. The hospital has been a long-time Kardashian cause. On Kendall Jenner's "Sweet 16" special she visited sick children with her big sis, Khloe.
Mason's mom was stylish in stripes wearing "a Cameo dress, Pucci sandals, Nissa earrings, and Chanel clutch." The sister known as "the sensible one" blogged, "My mom and I went to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles for the first time to host a little Mother's Day event. We had our friends from OPI [sic] come and give all of the mommies or grandmothers (and little girls if they wanted) manicures as we visited with them." The Kardashian-Jenner women have a line of Nicole by O.P.I. Kardashian Kolor nail varnishes with names like, "Khloe Had A Little Lamm Lamm."
It meant much to Kourtney to support other mothers. She writes, "These brave women are at the hospital all day and night with their children, so to be able to see them have half an hour to themselves to get a manicure, relax and be pampered put a smile on my face." It's clear from the photo gallery on Kourt's site that these children are gravely ill. One little girl wears a medical mask. Kourtney goes on to say, "Never before have I seen such bravery and strength in both these beautiful children and their parents who are sitting by their sides giving them strength. Please everyone say some prayers for these wonderful children. I am."
Well done. It's always nice to see people giving back -- even amidst the reality TV mayhem. The new season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" debuts this Sunday May 20 on the E! Network. Check your local listings for exact times.
