‘La Que No Podía Amar’: Ana Paula Chooses Rogelio

Ana Paula has chosen Rogelio in "La Que No Podía Amar." After weeks of torturing viewers and being one of the most indecisive characters on the show, Ana Paula reveals her decision to Gustavo. It is not a surprising selection considering she has refused to end her relationship with Rogelio in the past.

    Finally Making a Choice

Gustavo has been begging Ana Paula to make a decision for weeks. However, Ana Paula has found multiple excuses to delay this and ultimately relied on tears to stall the process. Gustavo has asked her to either choose him or Rogelio. Ana Paula's response throughout the show has been that she has strong feelings for both men.

    Rogelio is the One.

Ana Paula finally shares her choice with Gustavo. She has decided that she loves Rogelio and will not sacrifice her marriage for him. Since Gustavo has married Cynthia, Ana Paula feels that it is the best choice given the circumstances. Her decision does not surprise viewers who have seen her stay with Rogelio despite his temper and control issues. She has had opportunities to escape yet has always returned to him.

    Relationships

Ana Paula's indecisiveness has irritated both men for weeks. Despite her claims that she is confused about her feelings and cannot choose one of them, it is clear that she cares more about Rogelio. "La Que No Podía Amar" shows that her concern for Rogelio outweighs any feelings she once had for Gustavo.

    The Past

Ana Paula is ready to relegate Gustavo to her past. Although they had a passionate relationship before she met Rogelio, she is not willing to return to him. Rogelio's acceptance of her previous pregnancy from another man only motivates her to stay with him. Ana Paula occasionally mentions the contract she signed that stipulated a marriage of one year to Rogelio in exchange for helping her brother avoid jail. However, the contract is not the only reason she stays with him.

    Gustavo as the Victim

Gustavo is the real victim on the show. Ana Paula plays with his feelings and manipulates him on several occasions. She does not want to be with him, but is still jealous of his relationship with Cynthia. It is her immature and careless attitude that hurts him while putting his life in danger. By stringing him along for weeks, she has exposed him to Rogelio who is capable of killing a rival.
