On Monday, 8/27, Lindsay Wagner will return to "Warehouse 13." This time Dr. Vanessa Calder is back for what's being billed as a very hot date with her beau Artie Nielsen. Of course in typical "Warehouse" fashion, their special night will be interrupted by an unexpected, and unwanted guest -- Alice, who's escaped from Wonderland.
'Warehouse 13' welcomes Wagner back for a romantic trystIn a recent conference call, Wagner gave a sneak peak at their interrupted tryst. "That day we decided to take the relationship to another level and so the adventure takes place out in the world where they're meeting up thinking that they were going to have a nice quiet weekend together."
Despite Alice's interruption, Calder and Nielsen's romance is unique on television. Portrayed by two actors in their 60s, they represent an unusual type of primetime couple -- mature adults who aren't relegated to roles as the wise-cracking or advice-giving grandparents.
The former 'Bionic Woman' loves her mature TV romanceThe former "Bionic Woman" gave kudos to the "Warehouse" production team, saying, "Them being willing to write a romantic story about older people who aren't dead is very wonderful and courageous. It's actually something that hasn't really been done much ever in the history of television or movies. There's the odd movie, there's the occasional movie where it comes out and says, 'Oh wow, that's right, people are still alive and vital and have all the same qualities of human beings once they pass 50.'"
Wagner has a jam-packed schedule, but might return to TV full-timeWagner is certainly still vital on and off camera. In addition to her role on "Warehouse 13," she's appeared on the Syfy series "Alphas" and the feature film "Who Killed Soul Glow?" And she's narrating the TV movie "Scruples," which is due to premiere on ABC later this year.
The actress-turned-author is also an avid practitioner of mediation practices. She even hosts workshops, seminars, and retreats, and she publishes newsletters encouraging people to "Quiet the Mind & Open the Heart."
Even though her non-entertainment interests keep her very busy, Wagner wouldn't turn her nose up at returning to television full-time. She confirmed, "I'm kind of sniffing around for things and looking at some different concepts, been talking with my agent about it lately. It's definitely a possibility."
In the meantime, tune in to see Wagner on "Warehouse 13" on Monday, 8/27, at 9PM EST on Syfy.
