Earlier this week, Fox called time of death on House after eight seasons. Last summer, ABC announced that Desperate Housewives will move off of Wisteria Lane in May, also after eight seasons.

Both series have been huge commercial and critical successes, but even their diehard fans conceded that it was time for their beloved shows to end. No one should overstay their welcome, right? So we want to know: Which other long-running shows do you think should be put out to pasture?

How will House end?

Should the documentary crew wrap it up on The Office (and prevent that Dwight spin-off from seeing the light of day)? Is it time for Grey's Anatomy to bow out — especially if Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh don't sign new contracts? How I Met Your Mother has already been renewed for next season, but how long can they drag out this search for Mrs. Mosby? Is Law & Order: SVU without Christopher Meloni better off just ending?

Tell us which shows you think should get the axe in the comments below. And be sure to check back to see if your picks make our list.
