Lucille Ball: Celebrating 100 Years of the 'I Love Lucy' Star

It’s tough to imagine the funny-ladies of today without having the influence of the iconic Lucille Ball.
 
In honor of what would be her 100th birthday, the Hollywood Museum is hosting a special exhibit, which also coincides with the 60th anniversary of I Love Lucy. Daughter Lucie Arnaz will be in attendance for the bash, which is being held in the historic Max Factor building – the same place where Ball had her hair dyed red.
 
CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment are co-hosting the event as part of the DVD release of The Best of I Love Lucy, a 14-episode collection.
 
Didn’t snag an invite to the Hollywood soiree? Fans across the country can celebrate the legendary comedienne with three separate weekend marathons on ME-TV, the Hallmark Channel and Turner Classic Movies.  
 
Hallmark will broadcast 102 I Love Lucy episodes, while ME-TV will air 100 episodes of various programs including The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour and The Lucy Show.
 
TCM will show 14 of her films beginning Saturday at 5 a.m. Movies slated to be shown include Stage Door, The Big Street and Easy to Wed. Find the full schedule below.
