Megyn Kelly’s Fox News Show Soars in Day 2 Ratings

Megyn Kelly’s new Fox News Channel show, “The Kelly File,” jumped 116 percent in the key 25-54 news demo for its second night on the air.

It also gained in total viewers from its Monday premiere, growing 34 percent to 2.8 million.

In the demo, it went from 289,264 viewers on Monday to 623,142 viewers.

Compared to its 9 p.m. cable news competitors, “The Kelly File” beat its rivals combined in both categories. CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” had 590,858 total viewers, with 168,828 in the demo, while MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow had 1,082,177 total viewers, with 290,767 in the demo.

For its newly extended 7 to 11 p.m. lineup, which launched Monday, Fox averaged 2,432,260 total viewers, with 508,949 in the demo.
