The latest episode of "How I Met Your Mother" added another chapter to the ongoing saga between Barney and Robin. It seems like these two are never on the same page when it comes to their attraction, and this time it was Robin who was pursuing Barney. She said that she just wanted to get him out of her system, but it's clear that she has real feelings. However, another soul-searching mission for Barney looks like it will delay any union between the two. Meanwhile, Ted goes a little too far when he babysits Marvin. Here is a recap of the latest episode, "Lobster Crawl."
Robin wants BarneyRobin is aggressively flirting with Barney, and she's even using an over-the-top giggle to draw his attention. Lily immediately senses something and talks to Robin about it. After hearing that Barney closed the door for good, Lily tells Robin that she's obsessed with something she can't have. She says Robin does this a lot and points out a story where Robin started eating lobster after learning that she was allergic to it. Robin tries to convince herself that Lily is wrong but can't talk herself out of making a move on Barney.
She comes to the revelation that she needs to sleep with Barney one more time in order to get him out of her system. Lily thinks that it's a bad idea, but that doesn't change Robin's mind.
Robin tries a series of tactics to seduce Barney, but he seems more interested in his latest business venture: marketing stylish bibs for men. On the advice of Lily, Robin tries to flirt with a girl in order to lure Barney. However, Barney ends up leaving with her co-worker Brandi instead of her.
He returns to the bar, and reveals that he didn't sleep with Brandi. In fact, he tells Lily and Robin that he feels like he is searching for something in his life, but he doesn't know what it is. Robin understands that he needs space but still shows up at his apartment to seduce him. When she gets there, she's stunned to see Barney hanging out with her geeky co-worker Patrice. Barney explains that the two talked a lot about his recent problems and were now on a date. Robin leaves but is clearly upset about the whole thing.
Ted the nannyMarshall and Lily are in need of a nanny since her dad is sick, and Ted volunteers for the job. Lily goes to check on him and is surprised to learn that Marvin was crawling for the first time. Ted tried to record a video of this memorable moment but ends up filming his own reaction by mistake. Lily's upset that she missed it, and things get worse when she finds out that Ted bought all of Marvin's winter clothes without her. Marshall is mortified when he sees the baby wearing a Cleveland Browns shirt, and both he and Lily decide to fire Ted.
Eventually, they decide to confront Ted about what's really going on. It turns out that they found a scrapbook of Marvin's firsts, and they realize that Ted is compensating because he doesn't have anything to work on. They set up a meeting with a head hunter that Ted had previously canceled, and Ted is grateful to his friends. At the end of the episode, a glimpse of the future reveals that Marshall and Lily get revenge on Ted for spoiling all of Marvin's firsts by taking his daughter to see Santa.
