Fans of Showtime's serial killer drama "Dexter " are overjoyed that the show's seventh season has finally begun. But with the new season comes new challenges for the titular anti-hero. Deb knows his secret, and several other members of the Miami Metro homicide squad seem like they might uncover the truth soon. Based on just the first episode of Season 7, here is a rundown of which of Dexter's coworkers are most likely to end up covered in plastic wrap.
Debra MorganDeb is Dexter's adopted sister, but she's also the lieutenant in charge of homicide. And more troubling, she has romantic feelings for Dex, based on her therapy sessions from last season. Whether she'll back Dexter or the law is unclear, but even if Dexter does feel threatened by Deb, it's very unlikely he'd kill her. He had a chance to do so in Season 1 and declined. He's on the record as saying that if he could love anyone, it would be Deb. As his only remaining family member, Deb may just prove to be Dexter's Achilles heel.
Maria LaGuertaMaria never really believed that Doakes was the Bay Harbor Butcher. Now that she's found a blood slide at the church where Travis Marshall was killed, her attention may just fall on Dexter. She will work harder than anyone else to discover who the Bay Harbor Butcher was in order to clear Doakes. If she confronts Dexter, he probably won't hesitate to take her out. If his back is up against the wall, Dexter will kill LaGuerta. He isn't friendly with her, and quite frankly, many fans would be happy to see her go.
Louis GreeneFans still don't quite know what Louis is all about. Is he an admirer of Dexter or an enemy? Either way, Dex has been very clear about how much he dislikes Louis. If Louis makes life hard for Dexter, it's highly likely that Louis will end up on a slab this season.
Joey QuinnQuinn has a drinking problem. Quinn also has some of the worst luck out of any character on the show. If being drunk in the wrong place and at the wrong time puts him in a position to see Dexter commit a crime, Dexter will definitely kill him. After all, it's been made clear that Deb doesn't have feelings for Quinn anymore, which is the only reason Dexter has let things slide this long.
Vince MasukaMasuka is a brilliant forensic tech. If anyone is in a position to discover that Dexter is a serial killer, it's Vince. Should that happen, it's a 50/50 chance that Dex kills him. On the one hand, a very Dark Passenger-obsessed Dex has been known to commit murders he later regretted. But on the other hand, Dex really likes Masuka and would have a hard time killing an innocent man who's just trying to do his job.
