COLOGNE, Germany -- Howard Gordon and Gideon Raff, executive producers of Emmy-award winning Showtime series Homeland, will give a Media Mastermind Keynote address at the upcoming MIP TV international television conference in April.
Homeland, the big winner at last year's Emmys with six wins including Outstanding Drama Series, is based on the Israeli format Hatufim - Prisoners of War from Keshet Broadcasting, which Raff created, wrote and directed and which was first introduced to international buyers at MIP. Prisoners of War was Israel's highest-rated drama series and won nine Israeli Television Academy Awards.
Gordon, whose credits also include being showrunner and executive producer of Fox's 24 and an executive producer on The X-Files, will together with Raff discuss how they develop such award-winning dramas from conception to air. They will also detail the changes made in adapting Prisoners of War into Homeland for the American audience.
