Castiel fans, rejoice! Misha Collins is being re-promoted to series regular in Season 9 of Supernatural, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Collins, whose angel character Castiel escaped Purgatory this season, has recurred throughout the series since the Season 4 premiere and was previously a series regular in Seasons 5 and 6. Supernatural is currently in its eighth season.
The 38-year-old actor will also direct an episode in the upcoming ninth season of Supernatural, which was just renewed by The CW.
