Modern Family Star's Mom Accuses Her Daughter of Attacking Her

Ariel Winter's mother claims the Modern Family star attacked her after she confronted her daughter about her relationship with an 18-year-old boy, TMZ.com reports.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Chrystal Workman claimed during a guardianship hearing that her daughter attacked her and threatened to "make her pay" during the confrontation.

Report: Modern Family star split from boyfriend before alleged incident

Winter, 14, was removed from her home last week amidst abuse allegations against her mother, Chrystal Workman. Shortly after, a police reported surfaced in which Workman made the claim that she caught Winter in bed with her boyfriend on the night of Sept. 24. A later report says the actress actually split with her older beau months before the alleged incident.

Despite Workman's claims, a lawyer for Winter's older sister, Shanelle Gray, claimed Winter was repeatedly struck, slapped and pushed around. The lawyer also stated that Chrystal was "a terror on the set of Modern Family and that the producer and others there have expressed grave concern."

Chrystal claimed her daughter her daughter is lying. [She] is an actress so I'm sure she can cry at the drop of a hat," she said.

Gray has temporary custody over Winter, and Workman has been ordered to stay away from Winter pending a follow-up hearing on Nov. 20.
